We are full design-build, and we relish the creative process behind every detail that goes into making a house a home. It’s why even our renderings are works of art. How will the room flow? Where should the furniture sit to best facilitate gathering places, as well as more cozy escapes? The largest of rooms can and should host intimacy.
We give space purpose. Founder and creative director Bob Bowden has been in the business for more than four decades, and there is no better teacher than time. The lessons he’s taken from every project, every client relationship, has only sharpened his intuition about what separates exceptional design from merely good enough.
At the heart of everything we do is making sure that every one of our clients – whether for a full design-build, a remodel or simply interior design – receives a sense of home. That’s why “home” is right in our name.
Meet the Team
Bob Bowden

Behind every Bowden Home is Bob Bowden’s creative mind. Over the course of more than 40 years designing Aspen’s premier luxury residences, 72 out of 75 still belong to their original buyers.
Bob moved to Aspen in 1984 after a 13-year stint in the family electronic-manufacturing business, Sencore Inc. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During his time with Sencore, Bob attended various executive-level studies offered by the University of South Dakota and Stanford University, an extension of the BSEE he earned from Valparaiso University.
He hit the Aspen scene with a splash, first as owner of the Double Diamond night club – in the space that is now Belly Up – and as a real estate investor and, after attaining his license, broker. It didn’t take long for him to realize that his talents could best be put to use designing and building custom homes. By the mid-90s, he was a general contractor known for building some of Aspen’s most sought-after spec homes.
Success begets success, and Bob’s trajectory has been anything but stagnant. As a developer who designs a home from the inside out, it was a natural extension of his business that he began focusing on interior design. He opened the Aspen Design Room in Aspen’s downtown core, which showcased exclusive lines from the likes of Armani Casa, Kelly Wearstler, Ralph Lauren and Lee Industries.
Today, Bob and his team continue elevating the definition of “home,” from interior design, custom builds and remodels. By vertically integrating the business, Bob has created a concierge-style service for his clients, able to consult and execute at every level of the project.
Mark Janian

Originally from Boston, Mark made his way to Colorado by way of CU Boulder, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He has spent his professional career in the Roaring Fork Valley, first doing commercial construction for about eight years before moving into the residential sphere. In the last 15 years, Mark has earned a reputation for his steadfast focus on budget, schedule and quality – an ethos he and his crews maintain with B2 Builders. His favorite aspect of the job is working with clients on creating their dreams. Today, he lives in Snowmass Village with his family. He enjoys hiking and skiing with his two kids, 3 and 6, though he knows his days are numbered before they’re faster on the slopes than he is.
FrAnk De La Torre

Frank brings a diverse background to his role. A Basalt High School graduate originally from Mexico City, Frank switched gears from aspiring to become an English teacher to pursuing business administration. He majored in accounting at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, where he outperformed nationwide peers in a challenging CENEVAL test before completing his degree. With a career in Aspen spanning 22 years, Frank specializes in individual and business tax preparation, holding an Enrolled Agent credential for IRS practice. Beyond numbers, Frank enjoys 80s and 90s music, American football (Steelers and 49ers), and is a devoted family man who cherishes beach vacations and quality time with his German Shepherd, Angel.
Megan Tackett

Megan Tackett is a seasoned professional with a rich background that underscores her sophisticated business acumen. As the Editor-in-Chief of Aspen Daily News, Megan led groundbreaking initiatives, spearheading an innovative for-profit, nonprofit partnership to launch the Roaring Fork Valley’s only standalone weekly Spanish newspaper, el Sol del Valle, and overseeing the launch of Authentic Aspen, a twice-yearly seasonal guide. Her editorial prowess earned the newspaper the First Amendment Award from the Colorado Press Association in 2022.
Megan's multifaceted career includes roles such as Tutoring Sales & Operations Manager at The Princeton Review and co-founding a creative agency in Boulder, highlighting her expertise in client relations, sales and operational management.
With a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University and a track record of success in various nonprofit board positions, Megan brings a wealth of experience to her role at Bowden Homes, where she continues to drive operational excellence and strategic growth.
Enrique Bucio

Enrique came to the United States from Mexico as a Utah Tech University student, where he played Division 1 soccer and earned his degree in accounting. He then found a professional home with B2 Builders and Bowden Homes through his brother Alberto, who is an accomplished framer that works with the companies. Today, Enrique lives in Rifle, Colorado with his family. When not working on construction job sites, Enrique prefers to spend his time outdoors, going on hikes or walking his dogs Oreo and Riley, and traveling with his wife. And, of course, he still enjoys kicking a soccer ball.
NAthan Snider

Nathan grew up in Montrose, Colorado, where he spent plenty of time on job sites with his dad, who worked in construction. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree, as it were: After attending Mesa State University in Grand Junction and then traveling the country working in oil and gas, Nathan found himself in construction management. When he’s not on the job, Nathan is out taking advantage of his home state’s wilderness, whether it’s camping, fishing and hunting or riding motocross (he used to race in his 20s). During the summer months, he spends as much time as he can at his cabin with his family.
Trey Thorpe

Trey grew up in Old Snowmass and attended the Aspen School District, playing football, baseball, and ski-racing through high school. He then pursued his higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder, earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in energy engineering -- while continuing to ski-race for the club team at Boulder. Returning to the Roaring Fork Valley post-college, he joined B2 Builders, initially overseeing workforce housing projects for his alma mater, the Aspen School District. His love for his community drives him, and he doesn't take getting to work in such a beautiful place for granted. When he’s not at work, Trey is outside enjoying the mountains in as many ways as possible. He embraces the valley's backyard year-round: skiing, hiking, climbing 14ers, camping, mountain biking, dirt biking, hunting, and paddle boarding.

We share your goals in an intensive 3-day client download - “the DreamCatcher Session” - then budget, schedule and deliver. You can be as involved as you wish.
Build: Perform all GC tasks as integral
Part of your team, applying the same level of attention to quality, budget, and schedule as we have done in our own 80+ homes.
Interior Design:
We offer a full-scale interior design service that can transform the interiors of new homes or remodel, from a complete gut to simply furnishing.
